Consultant, to my knowledge in simplified view should be adept in equal measure to <br />1. Analyse<br />2. Package<br />3. Report<br /><br />If you take each of the phrase and analyse, the realization would be that a consultant would<br /><br />1. Know and is experienced on the subject (talented and recognized would be a plus)<br /><br />2. All data crunching should be packaged into small capsules that is decision friendly.<br /><br />3. Report the package with individual recommendations to senior stake holders and keep the input ecosystem informed. <br /><br />This should be on a continual basis (day, week, month, year) throughout. <br /><br />May be a 4th dimension in current scenario expected from a consultant is to outsource.<br /><br />Each of the above deliveries can then be thought of in terms of attributes they carry.
